Shipping Costs Start to Crimp Globalization
Yes, it sucks to have to pay a lot for gasoline, but are we even paying the full price, yet? Anyway, now that the energy required to transport goods is chomping away at margins, manufacturers need to re-think their supply chains. While I hate to see prices go up, this is just the constraint we needed in our economy to convince companies to actually design efficiencies into their systems.
