new chain, chainring, and cog on the commuter bike, AGAIN! this time i used almost all new parts. fixed the broken cog and chain last night. decided to replace the chainring while i was at it.

now, if we get more rain, i've got a bike with fenders.

meh-canical! i heard a loud pop from my chain this morning. i was almost to work, so i didn't worry (or friggin' investigate). a few blocks into my ride home, i heard it again. i pulled over to the sidewalk to find i'd sheared a tooth on the back and broken 1/2 a link. i grabbed a wrench, flipped the back wheel to my 18t cog and limped it home. i made it, just not very quickly.
