homemade pretzel (veggie) dogs

tried out this recipe on slowroasteditalian.com tonight. they look good (cooling, right now). i used veggie dogs. use whatever you like... it went fairly smoothly despite all the steps...

they were great! my belief is that this is a little too much dough for 8 small hot dogs. you could probably cover 10 small hot dogs or 8 larger dogs. they also recommend things like jalapeno and cheese bites. i'd give just about any pretzel-friendly filling a try with these.
