backwoods bastard
wow, this is a bourbon barrel aged ale. you totally smell the bourbon but there is very little bite when it hits the mouth. i think you'll miss out on a lot of the character if you try to drink this one from the bottle, so... just get a glass, ok?

final flowers of autumn
ran around the yard, today, capturing color that may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you are looking for color in autumn in minnesota.
it's fun to find the surprises, like late flowers. some are loud and defiant. some, faded and ready to be done.

failed new road design in roseville, ramsey county
Victoria street (Ramsey County road 52), between County road B and Larpenteur Avenue was repaved and reconfigured this summer. It went from a stretch of road that was awesome to cycle on northbound and southbound, to... safe nothbound

singletrack rye pale ale
the last of my in-colorado beer suggestions is boulder ceer co's singletrack rye pale ale. an easy drinker, for sure, and siince i'd just finished a mountain bike ride (https://www.strava.com/activities/338419040) it was a good "recovery" drink. a little of the spicy edge from the rye seemed to make it finish dry. well... yes, i'll have another
